About Me

Emelia Wilmot
GradDipMThrp, University of Melbourne.

Registered with the Australian Music Therapy Association since 2004. 

Emelia completed her Post Graduate Diploma of Music Therapy in 2004 at the University of Melbourne.  
She has worked in diverse music therapy positions including: 
Adolescent and adult mental health, palliative care, special education, posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), women's & children's refuge and aged care. 

Emelia has been primarily working in acquired brain injury, stroke rehabilitation, dementia and Alzheimer's since 2008 in community houses, hospitals and private homes. 

Prior to studying, Emelia was a professional musician, majoring in jazz saxophone performance and tuition.  She still plays her own music in various bands around Melbourne that enrich her client-focused work.  As a Music Therapist, Emelia primarily works with guitar, voice and electronic devices. 

Emelia offers Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) & Stroke
rehabilitation focused music therapy services in the home
across the metropolitan Melbourne area.
